A Cathedral in the Trees

Over the course of 15 years Horace Burgess has created a treehouse out of construction scraps.  Located in Crossville, TN, Horace is an outspoken advocate of Jesus Christ and this treehouse is a monument to his savior.  It is also a functioning church.  If you happen to be passing through, stop by — Horace welcomes visitors.

  1. I have been wanting to visit this treehouse ever since I heard about it last yr. I had also heard it was closed but was hoping it was open now or what the specific days are. I live in Nashville and will be traveling thru Crossville at different times and would love to see this treehouse from God. Thank you for any info you have or who I can contact.
    Thanks and God Bless

Horace welcomes visitors but I don’t know that he holds specific hours. I recommend just stopping in. Enjoy your visit!
    Best,

  2. What an amazing site. My wife and I were vacationing in Crossville last month and the guy we rented a house from for our stay, also a minster, told us about it and took us too see it. It is an amazing site to behold. A true one of a kind gem. My wife and I went all the way up tot he bell tower and I believe I counted 9 stories…either way we were in the tops of the trees. Don’t miss it if you are in the area.
