Turns out one of our carpenters is a closet woodcarver!  Ron Myre stands next to the dragons he carved into two cedar planks.  These guys are heading to a new treehouse in Philadelphia.

Treehouse Workshop has begun work on new structure in Belfair, Washington.  The southern Puget Sound can be so majestic this time of year — here’s a load of materials I drove down there yesterday:

It’s a Burl!

First stop on our way to the World Treehouse Conference was Joy & Harvey Shinerock’s “It’s a Burl” gallery in Kerby, Oregon.  What a place!  Here’s Judy perusing a few of the thousands of burls there.

 They have a few great treehouses on the property, built by Harvey’s son Dan.
