A Seattle homeless man, David Csaky, built himself a home in the trees and has lived in it for the past two years.  The other day I met Csaky.  He is a gentle and kind man who has truly become part of the neighborhood.  This week the city posted an eviction notice on his treehouse, and his neighbors have come to the rescue.  Check out this fascinating story, and especially see the photo gallery.

Over the course of 15 years Horace Burgess has created a treehouse out of construction scraps.  Located in Crossville, TN, Horace is an outspoken advocate of Jesus Christ and this treehouse is a monument to his savior.  It is also a functioning church.  If you happen to be passing through, stop by — Horace welcomes visitors.

I recently visited a treehouse we built last year outside Abingdon, Virginia.  I designed this treehouse while living in Spain three years ago.  Carpenter Bubba Smith, in his magical way, made it a reality.

Turns out one of our carpenters is a closet woodcarver!  Ron Myre stands next to the dragons he carved into two cedar planks.  These guys are heading to a new treehouse in Philadelphia.
